Wow! I absolutely cannot believe that my last post was September 1st, 2010! I am ashamed!!! Well, things have been very busy at the Getz house since then.We hosted Lenia, a foreign exchange student from Germany. What a wonderful experience it was for everyone....especially the kids. She became like a sister to them and Emma cried for a couple days after she left :( Our time with her was filled with tennis practice and games, carpools, trips (D.C., the beach, camping), lots of shopping (hey, she is 16) and just introducing her to American traditions. She was here for the holidays so she really saw a fun time of year...especially at the Getz house where we go a little overboard with the celebrations. All in all it was a wonderful experience and one we will never forget. If the kids ever learn German, maybe they can do an exchange with her one day.
