Thanking those with their lives on the line

I have often wished for a simple, less-awkward way to say "Thank You" to military people I see, especially when in airports, restaurants, etc. Thanks to Mom for sharing this link, which shows a simple way to do it from across a room or as you are walking by our military men or women.
